1. Current status

PlayR is in pre-release preparation. Descriptions, availability and system requirements may be refined before public release. A paid purchase button will not be published until release builds and licensing are ready.

2. Planned commercial licence

The planned PlayR licence is a perpetual, non-exclusive licence for one named customer, permitting up to three active devices in any combination of supported Windows, macOS and Android devices.

  • One named customer; not a company-wide or multi-user licence.
  • Up to three active devices at one time.
  • A 10-day trial before purchase.
  • Normal show use intended to work offline after activation.
  • The licence permits use of PlayR but does not transfer ownership of the software or source code.

3. Acceptable use

You must not distribute licence keys, sell access to your activated licence, remove ownership notices or use PlayR to infringe the rights of others. Nothing in these terms prevents actions that applicable law or an open-source licence expressly permits.

4. Your media

You remain responsible for the audio, video, lyrics, graphics, MIDI data and other material you load into PlayR. PlayR does not grant rights to use third-party music or media publicly.

5. Backups and live performance

You are responsible for maintaining backups of show files, media, playlists, Intermission playlists and automation, plus a suitable fallback playback method. Do not keep the only copy of important show data on one device.

6. Third-party components

PlayR uses third-party components including JUCE and dynamically linked FFmpeg libraries. Those components remain subject to their respective licences and notices. The final release package will include the applicable third-party information and materials.

7. Payments and consumer rights

Public sales are intended to be handled by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. Checkout terms, taxes, receipts and any statutory cancellation or refund rights will be shown during purchase. Nothing in these terms removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PlayR is provided without a promise that every third-party file, device or live setup will operate without interruption. Nothing excludes liability where exclusion is prohibited by law.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to mandatory consumer protections that apply in the customer’s country.
