Made for real gigs

Not another generic media player.

PlayR grew out of performing several nights a week: backing tracks in one app, video in another, lighting commands somewhere else, and break music still needing separate attention.

It is built around the job itself — prepare the show, press play and trust the system on stage, including the music between sets.

Who PlayR is for

One focused system for working performers.

01

Solo performers

Run backing tracks, notes, cues and break music without juggling several apps.

02

Tribute acts

Keep complete, repeatable shows organised with song-specific settings.

03

Singers using tracks

Manage playlists, levels, key, tempo, lyrics and performance notes.

04

Automated live shows

Trigger MIDI, lighting and external equipment as part of playback.

Everything in one place

Run the show, not the software.

Powerful where it matters. Clear when the room is full and the pressure is on.

Integrated Intermission Music

Run a completely separate break-music playlist with smooth crossfades, LUFS matching, silence trimming, BPM analysis, Tap BPM, gentle tempo matching, Talk Over ducking and its own MIDI and lighting cues.

  • Show playback stays isolated and protected
  • Current and next track information with live navigation
  • Save reusable Intermission playlists and settings

Audio and multitrack playback

Run ordinary backing tracks or route stems to dedicated outputs for a flexible live mix.

  • Playlist workflow
  • Per-track volume and loudness analysis
  • Stem routing
SHOW

Stage-friendly Show Mode

Keep the performance screen focused on current and next songs, notes and the controls needed live.

LUFS

Consistent track levels

Measure integrated loudness and store song-specific adjustments to avoid sudden level jumps.

MIDI

MIDI automation

Send program changes, CC messages and notes to named external destinations from each song.

LX

Lighting control

Trigger lighting scenes and recorded automation directly from the playback timeline.

N

Song notes

Keep lyrics, reminders, spoken links and performance cues attached to the correct track.

CDG

Video and CDG

Play video or MP3+CDG with docked and external display options for compatible setups.

±

Key and tempo

Store independent key-shift and tempo settings for individual songs without changing the master files.

PlayR Intermission Music live view with Talk Over enabled

The gap between sets is part of the show

Intermission Music that behaves like a professional part of PlayR.

Prepare a separate playlist, then let PlayR handle the transitions while your main show remains untouched.

Smooth handovers: adjustable crossfades and silence-aware starts and endings.
More even energy: LUFS analysis plus optional BPM and gentle tempo matching.
Ready to speak: Talk Over instantly ducks the break music.
Still automated: per-track lighting, recorded MIDI and global start/stop cues.

The actual PlayR interface

No invented mock-ups.

These are genuine captures from the finished Android interface. Tap any image to enlarge it.

One licence. Three systems.

Use the hardware that suits the gig.

The finished core PlayR workflow is shared across Windows, macOS and Android.

Windows

Full desktop workflow, professional audio routing and compatibility with established live systems.

macOS

A universal Mac build for Intel and Apple Silicon, with the same PlayR show workflow.

A

Android

A responsive, touch-friendly tablet version with visible file storage and the complete performance system.

3

Three devices

Use any supported mix of main and backup machines under one named performer licence.

Built for offline gigs. Internet is expected for licence activation, but normal show playback is designed to work without a live connection.

From preparation to performance

A straightforward live workflow.

01

Build the playlist

Add audio, multitracks, CDG or video and arrange the running order.

02

Set each song

Store levels, notes, key, tempo, MIDI commands, lighting cues and routing.

03

Check the show

Use Pre-Show Check to test songs and automation without disturbing the live running order.

04

Perform — and take the break

Run Show Mode, then start the separate Intermission Music playlist between sets.

Questions

Frequently asked.

What is Intermission Music?

It is a separate break-music system inside PlayR, with its own playlists, smooth crossfades, loudness control, BPM tools, Talk Over and MIDI or lighting cues. It does not interfere with the main show playlist.

Is PlayR a subscription?

No. The planned commercial licence is a one-time purchase.

How many devices can I use?

One named customer may activate PlayR on up to three devices in any combination of Windows, macOS and Android.

Will PlayR work without internet during a show?

Yes. A connection is expected for initial activation and occasional licence validation, but normal playback is designed for offline use.

Does it replace my lighting or audio software?

PlayR is the show playback and automation hub. It can send MIDI and lighting commands to compatible external software and equipment while playing tracks.

Is PlayR available now?

PlayR is in release preparation. A small beta with working performers comes before public sales.
